I have said it before but I believe it is worthy of repeating. These type HJs are in my opinion the rarest of the rare of "normal" HJs. What am I talking about? A blade maker marked to one firm and rzmed to another. Rocket science? No, my theory is quite simple. A company has an order for knives and is out of blades so they buy or borrow some from another company, hence the two firms. I think they are more prevelent than we think. I have found Horster to be involved one way or another in all I have found. Boker early blade rzmed to Horster, Horster early blade rzmed to Klaas. If you want the rarest of the rare of normal production HJs I think these are them guys. Just my opinion but I think its accurte. I am really supprised there are not more comments. I have seen 3 of the Horster/Klaas and one Boker/Horster. goodness knows how many I have overlooked over the years by not paying attention. What permium would you HJ collectors put on one of these, if any?? Russ & Lance

Well I now know why Lance did not show me this one until the auction closed. My wife had arranged for someone to bid on it for her for me after Lance showed her. You gotta love a wife who tolerates your hobby and a kid who loves it as much as you. This one is different than my other other in several respects. first the blade was bowie ground at some point and the m7/37 numbering is different. the only constant in authentic HJs seems to be there are no constants. Russ

I agree Russ, these are rare birds. Their rarity may be their downfall though, as they are not "textbook".....which seem to be a requirement for many collectors as they experience the onslaught of repros/altered pieces. John
