hello collectors, i buy this hewer from a friend her in germany. And now i ask me is this really the original lacquer? I mean the dagger with the two screw and the red arrow. Thank you, best regards Oliver

That looks like modern metallic silver spray paint to me.

You would need to see the hilt fittings also. This one with the screws at the bottom is a Klaas and they DID have better lacquer covering the silver fittings, so it could be OK, depending on the condition of the hilt and the lacquer on those parts. I have seen near mint/mint Klaas DRKs with that much original lacquer in the past. JMO, Ron Weinand

I agree with Ron but I think you would probably have to see this one in hand to tell for sure. However, from what I can see the overall condition does not look too good indicating the lacquer or whatever it is ---is not original.
