Has anyone seen this trade mark before and if so do you know the firm that manufactered this piece? Also what type of emblem should have been in the grip?

I believe this is Gebr. Weyersberg
Fisher's Reference pg 561 2003 version.

Most likely the grip emblem would have been a Wilhelm II cypher. You can probably get one from Johnson but fastening it properly would be the problem since removing the grip plate without damage is virtually impossible. Too bad, I'd like to have a complete one myself.

A bit like this one I have? Bayonet has seen better days unfortunately.

Mike, that would be it. Too bad about the condition, there is just something neat about those imperial pieces.
