Well, I was hoping those tools would work because it's a pain in the @ss otherwise. I found these detailed instructions online. Please read them first before proceeding. Since I've never been infected with Outerinfo, I can't verify that these will work, but they look accurate. Let me know if it works for you.
1. Please download, install, update and scan your system with the free version of
Ewido trojan scanner.
2. When installing, under "Additional Options" uncheck "Install background guard" and "Install scan via context menu".
3. When you run ewido for the first time, you will get a warning "Database could not be found!". Click OK. We will fix this in a moment.
From the main ewido screen, click on update in the left menu, then click the Start update button.
4. After the update finishes (the status bar at the bottom will display "Update successful").
Please download
CCleaner, install it but do not run it yet.
5. Boot into safe mode: Restart your computer and as soon as it starts booting up again continuously tap F8. A menu should come up where you will be given the option to enter Safe Mode.
6. Run CCleaner and clean out your Temporary and Temporary Internet Files.
7. Run ewido, click on the Scanner button in the left menu, then click on the Start button. This scan can take quite a while to run, so time to go get a drink and a snack....
8. If ewido finds anything, it will pop up a notification. You can select "clean" and check the boxes "Perform action with all infections" and "Create encrypted backup" before clicking on OK.
9. When the scan finishes, click on "Save Report". This will create a text file. Please then paste the contents of the text file to this thread or email it to me.
10. Reboot in Normal mode.
