Hi John..this is what is stated, but the artist has it dated as 1939, and as far as i know, Claus Von Stauffenberg was a relatively unknown junior officer of no particular standing..

I have googled some pics of his bust from postwar sources, but they look quite different..

Could be a generic Aryan piece, I would ask the seller to move this piece into natural light and shoot it.

The facial features are quite similar. But one artists work can be a huge difference from another. Look at Stauffenberg.

It doesn't look anything like the late Minister for Propaganda. From the receding hair and length of hair, I would say non-military, non-Party.

How about one of the German/Austrian composers that were so popular ?
