Hey Mann, I have seen this same dagger on Ebay and a few things don't sit right with me, The crossguard underside looks gouged out to fit the blade hilt, also the grip dosen't fit the lower crossguard right, might be from a loose pommel nut but i doubt it. As far as the etching goes i don't know enough to comment on that. IMO parts dagger at best. Did you ask for more pictures from the seller, I.E. good close up of inscription, eagle and motto ?

Shouldn't the trademark be closer to the crossguard?

No need eban police took it off, i just looked at it a few minutes ago and the bidding was at $1600.00. Imrobil i think you were right seems like the makers mark should have been closer to the hilt.

LH600, Thanks for the link, I just emailed palmettoantiques and let them know in so many words i'll never buy from them and also the word is out they sell faked daggers/ inscription's and are pinned as such. Anyway to stop this crap from being sold to a unknowing buyer.

Got this reply, what do you think.
Re: Rohm Dagger? From: Palmetto Antiques (palmettoantk@earthlink.net) Sent: Sat 2/21/09 12:57 PM To: eric wien (ericwien@hotmail.com) 1 attachment classic_b...jpg (1.8 KB)
Eric, sorry to say you and your bunch are clueless. I had it looked at again just this week, Both the dagger , and the SA mans papers attached to the dagger are good. Funny thing all of you know it alls never requested good detailed pictures or asked for it's history. 2 types of Rohm people are out there those who own and those who wish. I would have been happy to provide good testimony from well know dealers both here in the states, and over in Europe. Keep Bogging, Pete -------Original Message-------
So i wounder who are the two dealers. Anyone else care to email him asking who authenticated this dagger. I just replied to his email about showing proof, let's see what he has to say.

Thanks Eric, LH 600, and Lance!!! I thought that name sounded familiar. A previous "piece" from this seller. Sometimes you can slip an item by eban police...but NOT if you're this guy. (too easy for those "duped" to drop a dime so to speak) BUYER BEWARE http://daggers.infopop.cc/eve/...200010745#5200010745My old buddy. No wonder. Expect a snappy answer from this seller every time.
