We had some interesting discussions on these daggers. My personal belief is that these are parts daggers made for the GI's in Italy. Note the scabbard is different than many we see.
So, while this was probably produced in 1944/45, It is probably a parts dagger that waas never a regulation piece.
But, opinions vary.
