Probably the best original video clip of officer daggers being handed out and worn for the first time at Marine Kriegsschule M�rwik.

Taken from the 1943 Deutsche Wochenschau, and of unusually high video quality. Kriegsmarine Fahnriche at the M�rwik naval warfare school are awarded their officer daggers. The candidates first attach the naval hangers to their belts and then attach the scabbard rings to the hanger clips, under close supervision. Unlike their Kriegsmarine counterparts, Heer officer candidates had to obtain their own daggers, for example, at the various Heereskleiderkasse outlets.
