Check out this seller: http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZmiss-militariaQQhtZ-1It has been said, there are many more reproduction collar tabs in collections than real ones. I believe it! The quality is improving everyday...

Amazing assortment of both common & rare TR cloth (!) It makes our hobby that much more difficult to sort the 'wheat from the chaff' - as these repros ...... are reprocessed & aged & hit the market as 'Real.'
This Italian site makes Reddick look like an Amateur (!) Yuk...
To counter: ..... Buy books, then read them, go to shows, see & feel the 'real deal' - & don't buy any cloth without a 'Return if not satisfied' provision.

Who is buying all this stuff. I`m sure that generally speaking it is not wanted by collectors & yet clearly there must be a very large market for so much investment to have been made to produce this fake ****. Do some people just collect repro stuff? It really baffles me that there is a market because for me collecting anything that is not original would be completely pointless. I have a couple of cloth items that are display enhancers that I know to be original but do not collect cloth. Seeing this would be enough to deter me from venturing along that path & how much more so in 30 yrs when this material has aged naturally? Reproductions will probably kill the hobby eventually even if the unrealistic prices don`t.

Not a collar tab but look at the neon glow on this repro board, it was bought at auction in a lot of real and fake tabs and boards. I only kept this one for a reference and spent $5.00 for the lot. The original panzer tab more than made up for it. Eric
