Hi everyone. I've inherited a Nazi flag from my great uncle. It looks as if everyone in his company signed it. There's an old photo of 2 guys holding the flag up to go with it. My question is, how can I preserve the flag? A lot of the signatures have faded. The flag has been stored in an old wooden foot locker wrapped in a plastic bag for years and it's full of fold lines...
Any help or sources would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Dave

Dave, very hard to stop time but I can suggest you keep it out of light and most certainly direct sunlight and in a dry place.

Dave ... I just mounted a 100 x 170 cm Kriegsflagge myself. It is mounted on acid free foamcore with a cotton underlay and topped with an acid free black cotton cover...then hand stitched. Sure looks great ! Next, I'm going to get a frame made for it and put it under conservation grade plexiglass....but by ALL means, keep it out of direct sunlight. If you'd like a pict of mine, drop me a line at: chansey09@yahoo.ca ....... cheers, Liam
