I bought this in Nashville from another collector and it's interesting because it is period, vivid color preservation and from the state of Michigan!
These are becoming very valuable and sought after in this condition. What do you think? Ever seen any like it?
I think Oregon was the only state some fires were started in by balloons with fire bombs on them.

What? No comments at all? I'm slinkin' away back to my bunker. Remember it was wartime and they characterized Hitler and some Japanese officer with fearsome and comical looking faces. Mark

Mark, that is a great looking poster - never seen anything like it before. Typical cartoon-type faces as seen during the period - nice one!

Thanks guys..I thought it was unique mainly because the colors remained so vivid and it was from Michigan...they must have thought the bombers were coming over the U.S. to get to them. Mark

Hey Mark
Nice Poster. I too like the Us Posters, and I have a few in my collection. Thats real unique it's Marked For the Michigan Dep of Conservation. Here are some of mine. The pair was hung up in the General Motor Plants, and the other was a War Bond Poster. I will post more when I get the photos taken. Nice Score Mark.

Marcus, If you've got the room these are great collectors items. I can barely fit another postcard on my walls here ... There's a good book that I'm sure you fellas might like if you're interested, it's by Anthony Rhodes, titled, "Propaganda - The Art of Persuasion : World War II." Love those nice, colorful images from any country. Bill

I really like your poster Mark. It did what it was supposed to. You don't paint your enemies with a pleasant brush. Propaganda is a very important tool in waging modern war. It was used by all sides. The Japanese for instance scared the civilian population of Okinawa so bad many commited suicide. As is always the case history revisionists always try to take period propaganda out of context after the conflict to satisfy their own personal agendas. I have several war bond posters. The only thing I do not like about them is the cost of framing. Steve
