Just picked this up from a friend that found at a flea market Sunday that I slept in instead of going... ( he got it very cheap too) But still I was happy to get it eventually! ( for a slightly higher price) Nice fixed loop, front seam, brass hardware, etc.
Is there any way to research American Red Cross Numbers?

A very helpful person found this info for me: http://www.wwiimemorial.com/re...opcount=29&tcount=52I am sure it is him. The Milwaukee, Name and ARC connection are too unlikely a combination for anyone else. The WW2 Memorial is a great site for information that I usually forget about. It is useful because many times it has extra information in there that teh NARA archives won't have ( such as exact unit or awards) but as the information is entered by family or friends, it has to be taken with a grain of salt. e.g. My uncle did NOT receive the silver star: http://www.wwiimemorial.com/re...&popcount=1&tcount=1But was entitled to a silver Campaign star. (Although he should have gotten a bronze star for leading a convoy out of a mine field to escape the advancing Germans in the Ardennes forest.)
