Just received a new photo with a couple of guys displaying odd uniforms, although the colour of the photo is black and white the uniform colour seems to be consistant. I will let you judge for your self.

The first one has no pockets, dark collar, and a seem in the middle of the jacket as if it was a parade jacket.

The second picture is a joppe jacket with hidden buttons and and lighter collar

Gary,

The hidden button tunic looks like a Justiz tunic (so do the guys around him with gold piped oblong maybe gree/black collar tabs). To be honest his cap could be a first pattern carmine piped Justiz cap as well. And the pocketless waffenrock tunic shows up once again. Remember the debate about this years ago when one showed up for sale?

All of the cap eagles seem to be 1934 models so clearly an early photo. Maybe a bunch of Justiz guys pulled into the police?????? Or maybe police and Justiz mixed for the photo?

Once again proves that the "regulations" for the civil police were NOT followed. What was available was used, simple as that.

Very interesting photo.

Regards,
Bill Unland
