Gents,
This one has the Imperial grip cypher but I cannot remember coming across a German one with the lion head pommel?. Is it Austrian?, it is matched with a KS98 painted scabbard that looks original to the piece.

I dont see it clear but probably a Wilhelm Rex II emblem? best regards,Andy
The lion head would be speak for Bavaria or Bulgaria.
