Here is something that I picked up and
has reverse symbol swas.
I see no marking on tang!
No idea on this!

Hi Paul! Looks like a nice late koto (1570ish) Ko wakizashi(short wakizashi). Not able to tell a whole lot else. Could be a quality piece judging by the mounts and the grooves in the blade though. You have a smudge on your camera lens which is obscuring the pics a bit. I like it too but the swaz should not be on it although it looks like it's been their for a long time.

I've got to agree with Bob C. here. The swastika was essentially a universal symbol and therefore also found in the Far East. I have a sash around here that's banded with swastikas which I'll post if I can find it since I've been told it's Japanese. PVON: Nice GDC Fleamarket you're running here!  Jim
