Ok who of us US collectors is all going to Louisville for the aptly named "Show of Shows" ?

I will be there with my shop partners Mark and Jeff. We have 4 tables ( somewhere in the middle back, row "P" I think) so look for our signs and stop by & say "hi".

A great place to find just about anything your heart desires, all it takes is a bit of luck and a pocket full of money! But there are plenty of bargains to be had if you take the time to dig a bit.

What are you looking for?

I will be searching out my Wisconsin Vocational School fighting knives, some unit flags, maybe a few more US helmets, some medal groupings,
and lots of little doo-dads that I need I just don't know it yet!

Mr Jerry:

I will pop by during the show... I am not a US collector in either sense ... I am Canadian and I collect German items.

But, I wouldn't miss the SOS for anything.

See you all there,

John

I will be there as I have tables on I row in the middle of the room. I wouldn't miss it as I have been there for the last ten years or so.

I will be looking for Constabulary stuff as well as swords. I picked up a wonderful 1902 Rhode Island Governor's presentation sword from the WWI period last year. Hopefully, I can do as well this year.

Unfortunately I'll be MIA for this one. Hopefully the economy will improve in time for me to make the MAX. Don't drink up all the beer.

I will be there, and my Dad just decided to go as well. It should be a great time. We haven't been to a show together in a long time, but when I was a kid we never missed a chance to walk the shows together.

Ron:

Don't you usually have your own table at these shows?

John, these are my tables, but since Tom Johnson and I have partnered up and share inventory, he comes and sets up with me.
You know, the dinamic duo.

Well the 2009 show of shows has become a fuzzy memory.

Attendance was good, but sales overall were quite slow. No one was having a fire sale, but there were some deals too be had if you had the patience to look.

It was very nice to see & meet many of the GDC forum members.

Here is one shot of a 82nd A/B re-enforced D-day jump jacket that Dudley Cohen had set up across from our tables so I got to drool over it all weekend.

I wondered why I didn't see you or your tables at the show, Jerry. I think that jacket explains it - I was probably distracted every time I walked past.

Best,
Tyrel

I saw you go past a few times, you looked like you were on a mission. I waved but you didn't see me (or were ignoring me) Cool

Well, I did very well at the show. I was able to sell a few duplicates and pick up a few items.

I was able to pick up these two US Staff & Field swords from a walk in who wanted a very reasonable price for the pair. One is a named presentation with a silver grip. They should clean up very nicely.
