I purchased a fairburn sykes combat knife not that long ago, it has seen better times but the price was to good to pass up, my problem is the leather scabbard is dry and starting to crack. What would be the best way to preserve the leather to keep it from cracking more? I know mink oil can be used for new leather but will it cause problems with older leather? Any help would be appreciated.
