hi all,,,i am possibly looking into trading my g-43 for a g-41,,the 41 has a mismatched bolt, bore has some frosting but the rifling is strong. The only other issue is with the extractor and firing pin. Some bozo decided to do some filing on them... for what reason I have no idea. He only messed with the top of the extractor and the sides of the firing pin which didn't actually affect anything.otherwise is in very good to excellent shape,,,can anyone give me a general price guide for this item,,many thanks,,Robert

These aren't my area of interest, so don't take my opinion for anything other than "my opinion". I'd say the 41 in question would probably be in the $3,000. Other more up on recent sales may give you a more accurate estimate.

If you're going to shoot the rifles, the difference between them is like the difference between a Chevvy and a Cadilliac. The '41 just has a much more solid feel to it.

To answer your question "to trade or not to trade" depends on your G43. Is it a nice and correct piece? Or, is it a mix-master with a refinished stock??? or......You get the idea.
The G41 will always be a gun with a mismatched bolt, a messed up extractor & firing pin which seriously hurts the value. If your G43 is nice, keep it and look down the road for another G41. Excellent condition, correct collector weapons always increase in value and are easy to sell when the time comes.
I recently sold my near mint G41 and only had to mention it to a collector friend. The really nice stuff seldom goes on the open market.
