I've been asked about this ring before. I've had a few in hand. They just aren't for me..
Some photos first from a current auction.

Don't know what it is speckeled with. Outer band and cartouche has nothing glaring wrong.. But the letters/words on the cartouche D,,E,,, look like they are painted on.
Some more photos... For me this would be an early ring. A couple times before I tried to find some photos, retail advertisements, or adverts in the trade guilds but found nothing.
I would like to see a highly polished inner band but this one is weird,,,and where the band meets the cartouche also looks weird.....

So the last couple photos are from Germania Int. This is their description for its sale. At the shows they seem to have as many of these as you would want!
" NAZI PARTY SA RING (Item SA 1-3)
DESCRIPTION: This beautifully enameled ring is one of those bought in a collection that was the remnant of pieces that were found in a bombed-out jewelry gallery specializing in Third Reich jewelry in 1945. These rings are absolutely genuine, but were never issued. This particular ring is extremely beautiful and showy; however, the words that sit at the top and bottom of the enameled swastika would be the SA motto, "Deutschland Erwache." This is important in the fact that "Deutschland Erwache" was the byword of the movement and was shouted from the assembled ranks of the SA and SS as they marched in all Germany's villages and towns. It was often phrased by the leaders and, of course, the Führer himself, on numerous occasions. It is an important piece of Third Reich gear and historically important. Ring is marked inside 835-as usual in silver rings. The enameling is superb. PRICE: $725.00"

Really guys,,I just don't get that good feeling from it. The examples I had seen in hand had indeed come from G.I.! The Dealers that had them , used them for decoration of their case. They wouldn't sell them. When I asked where they got them ,,they were from G.I.
So some rings I like, and some rings I don't like even if they are good. Does anyone have an 'in wear' photo? Yes I know most rings don't but you never know.. Or a line drawing advertisement from a catalog,,or one of the trade guilds? OR maybe one of you have this ring in your collection you would like to post?
I'd love to see a nice worn-down example. One of the things I do not like is they are always in the same condition...
SO, what do you guys think,,,good,,,or not...........

... what do you guys think,,,good,,,or not........... This ring is described as a ’Nazi Party SA Ring’ purely to make it more attractive to potential buyers. Even if this ring was authentic (I don’t believe it is), it's not SA. It’s a swastika with the ‘Germany Awaken’ slogan. ‘Deutschland erwache’ was not the SA motto as claimed in the description. It was used in Nazi propaganda before and after Hitler’s rise to power. Apparently, these rings are ‘absolutely genuine, but were never issued’. Ahhhh... That’ll explain why you have never seen one before, let alone an ad or in wear photo. And as for being ‘found in a bombed-out jewelry gallery specializing in Third Reich jewelry in 1945’? My ass I say! My ass! Where is the evidence for this amazing find? In 1945 Germany, they had significantly higher priorities (e.g, eating, avoiding being shot) than making or purchasing specialised jewellery. What's with that stippling on the surface? If this ring is silver, I never saw a ‘patina’ that looked like that. It looks like it was sprayed with something corrosive, perhaps to make it look older than it is. The hallmark is crap too. I mean, come on! $725? Daylight robbery! Germania International have been selling expensive fake and fantasy rings for years, often accompanied by outrageous, verbose claims about their supposed provenance. Many are claimed to have belonged to various infamous SS/SA/Luftwaffe/Wehrmacht units. I’m surprised that they haven’t shown us the wedding rings that belonged to Frau und Herr Eva and Adolf Hitler, removed from their dead fingers in Berlin by a Red Army trooper! If you visit the GI website, you will read the vehement claim that their wares are 100% genuine and furthermore, that the reader should not believe the scurrilous lies by moderators of certain militaria fora, 'mental midgets' and 'craven cowards' who don’t have a clue what they are talking about. The diatribe is so obnoxious and offensive that is reads as overly defensive to me...

I should be the last one to speak out against hoards. I've found 2. One very large, the other pretty small [ 23 rings]...
The owner of GI used to write about his rings claimed as being from Wilm jewelers. Then that his new 'Victory rings' were from Wilm! It got me so mad that I actually wrote a letter [pre computer days!] to the Wilm firm in Germany.. I got very lucky, and the retired member of the family business used to open the mail. Thats started a 2 year penpal relationship. He informed me it is a lie and they had sent a cease-and-desist letter to GI to get the Wilm name off of everything on their site. GI did re write their advertisements to exclude Wilm and other famous period jewelers...
Now about this DE ring. I would say for me it has enough problems that would keep it from being thought of as being authentic.
* Stephen,, yes the insults were meant for us years ago as we used to call him out about his rings many a time.. 'Nazi Bob' passed away a couple years ago, but his insults, and ignorance lives on...
So I'm interested what the other members like or dislike about the ring. Do you guys like it or not...

Sure Gaspare, but you neither made ridiculous claims about the (authentic) rings that you and Götz had found nor did you sell them for vastly inflated prices. And the hoard rings were known, validated patterns. These cheats annoy the crap out of me!
