Hi everyone, Please can you help on the following dagger? I'm new to this and I know there is millions of fakes/reproductions out there. Any concerns on this piece? I appreciate any help and advice I can get from the experts. Many thanks Emily

Emily, first let me welcome you in the forum according to your first posting.I have already seen this dagger in another form. It would be polite to mention this circumstace.
Is the scabbard tip magnetic?

Generally I do not like the color of the scabbard, the scabbard lug, the blurry looking grip fitings and especially the casting seam in the crossguards, The certain pic is from the other forum as it is missed here in our forum. I highly assume this NPEA dagger is a total fake. Regards,

This was also posted on WAF: https://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/fo...forum/15337759-npea-dagger-probably-fakeJust from what I see, the frog lug is not correct for Bergsmüller and the buffer pad looks leather and should be tan felt. You are correct that the overall fit and finish are not great as well. My guess is the blade is a Reddick fake but the only true way to know for sure is to ask what the tang and crossguard inside marks are.
