Unfortunately, this one is a fake. These came out in the early 1990's from a company called Cave Creek located in Arizona.
They made quite a few of these and hit the market prior to the internet.

For comparison purposes, here is an Assmann GAB from my collection.
The obverse design on this example is the one used on all Assmann GAB's - regardless of the base material. We can see this one does not match the example in question.
