I'll have to put some items together when I have a chance over the weekend.
The only pic I have is this one I took some time back.

The Helmet shell is an original M-35 ET 66
The Cover is made from original Red Army Amoeba camo w/ rubber helmet band
The IAB is an O. Schickle/BH Mayer Design with broken wreath

This helmet set-up was seen during the fateful days of the 6th Army in Stalingrad.
The IAB matches the type worn by Hauptmann Friedrich Winkler who was captured in Stalingrad and is thought to have succumbed to his wounds in a POW camp.

I wonder how prevalent the use of Russian camo was by the Germans? I have read of the use of stocks of Italian camo referred to as "Telo Mimetico" for uniforms etc.

I believe the use of Red Army Amoeba camo helmet covers is mostly seen during the Stalingrad campaign.

Hi Joe,

In September 1943, the 1st SS LSSAH was transferred to Italy for rear security duties and refitting for a few weeks.
With the Italian armistice, The 1st SS captured large amounts of Italian surplus...including the Italian Telo Camo.
With the formation of the 12th SS HJ and the leadership of the 12th all coming from the 1st SS, the 12th received a huge amount of the Telo camo.

This was in turn made into M43 Field Caps, Trousers, One Piece Kombi's and Tunics for the Officers, etc.

Here is my original Italian Zelt and some photo's of the camo in wear.

Nice example of the Italian Zeltbahn.
Most of those Itallian camo in wear photos I had not seen before.
The soldiers have haunted eyes.

The 12th SS HJ was formed in 1943 from 16-18 year old Hitlerjugend members.

These photo's are around the fighting in Caen and is the first time they had seen battle.
As Caen is considered the most horrific battle for Normandy, these young lads I'm sure were probably in shock.

The officer with the bandage on his head wearing an Italian Camo Tunic is Max Wunsche.
Here he is in the turret of his command Panther at the start of the battle in Caen.

So Max Wunsche was around 30 in the last image. Leading a core of teenagers. They had to grow up fast.

Binoculars, Buckle and Badge.
I picked these as they look like they have seen action. All Vet. pcs.

The Binoculars are CAG (Swarovski). 6X30 Dienstglass. In Sandgelb paint. With a Strichplatte in 6400 units. (Distance/range reticle).
The buckle is a Heer ESL 41 (E. Schneider Ludenscheid). (Koppelschloss).
The badge is a Heer Flak badge, (HeeresFlakkampfabzeichen), (C.E. Juncker Berlin SW 68).

Your Juncker Flak looks to have the remnants of the sewn award loop that held the badge on the tunic.

Yes, they do. These two 1943 photo's are of Sturmmann Otto Funk (Post War Signed) from my collection taken at the Belgium training grounds.
Notice on his M-42 tunic he wears his 'HJ-Leistungsrune' Hitler Youth Sports Badge.

Here he is in the alley in Rots Nr. Caen on June 9, 1944 that became the cover for Stuttgarter Illustrierte. The stress in his face shows quite a difference.

Here is a close-up of the Wiedmann L/51 IAB - My main collecting interest.

A nicely struck zinc IAB retaining it's silver finish. Would these have a copper coating under the silver?

Joe,

The L/51 marked Wiedmann's can be seen with a base coating over the zinc before the finish was applied and some examples do not show this attribute.
When it comes to the number of different variations in regards to finishes, hardware set-ups, marked, unmarked, etc. Wiedmann is one of the most diverse among the IAB makers.

The copper/bronze undercoating can be seen on this example from my collection when looking at the upper right wing tip.
