Thanks for allowing me to join. Does anyone have any information on this dagger? The guard and pommel are not magnetic. They seem to either be silver or brass. If they are brass, the brass color is very weak. the metal on the sheath is magnetic but doesn't show any rust. The blade has the words Edge Brand Solingen Germany. Goins 1998 edition: EDGE (inside an oval) SOLINGEN c 1983-present and EDGE MARK SOLINGEN GERMANY c 1950-present.

My advice is to pass on this dagger, save your money and get GERMAN KNIFE AND SWORD MAKERS 1850-1945 by J. Anthony Carter, 2015 edition. Then spend a month or more on German Daggers.com and learn from the experts here. I have learned more in the last 2 years on German Daggers.com than the previous 40 years from collector books and associates.

A co-worker brought this in and asked me to look it up. He said he couldn't find any information on it. I told him that there's certainly a forum on German Daggers and there would be some experts with advice. I have some German WWII guns but no daggers. Thanks again. Mike
