I am doing some research on a German ww2 navy sword by Eickhorn. It has the imperial markings on the grip and upper area of the scabbard, which is the floppy leather type. It has red and a green glass eyes. I am unsure of the etch though as it shows what looks like a tall building at the start, then a sea plane and a submarine. on the reverse it shows a large smoking ship with funnels. Then an eagle holding a swaz and an entwined anchor.
I know from the past that any etch with a submarine depicted needs careful investigation. where can i go to see accepted Eickhorn sword etch patterns. I am not going to bother listing pictures yet because i am of the mind it has been ruined wth this made up fake etch.
Cheers
