It is sad. But all collecting has gone this way IMO. I collected all kinds of things in my life. Most are kind of dead today.
Not a lot of new interest in toys or trains these days. Watches, shaving items, bottles, antiques. all slow.
German Items are slow. If you collect daggers and have a nice collection, your next dream dagger is going to cost you many thousands of dollars.
Hard to sell them, they are all over for sale. Sure the BIG guys will by, 50c on the dollar, if that.
I stick to firearms now a days, always a big market when selling.
It's the new world.

You're right, Ed,

Collecting is almost gone in favor of electronic games. Stamps ?

Ever forums like this one seem dead compared to Social Media.

Correct Dave, I'm sure you would like a few more SS daggers, but the price may stand in the way. The ones I'm interested in are close to $2000.00.
That will get me a very nice Winchester or Marlin lever action. I'll go there first.

Ryan,, its slow at all the forums.. The MAX is to close for me not to go!!

I'll be there with a table this year.. IF you need a rest from that concrete floor you and any other member are welcome to come by for a rest/sit..

The MAX has been pretty good. Gets a little better each year there. York gets many of the regular dealers and some of the locals too. Gets interesting sometimes.. Hope who ever goes has a good show!

Hello Ed I have posted dozens of pics last year and the years previous to this forum. This year my cell storage was maxed out and I wasn't able to take any pics I was only at show Thursday. Therefore I did not take any pictures at all I was in and I was out sorry. my overall impression was that prices were generally high bargains/deals were few and far between the 6 or 7 friends I ran into said the same thing.... decent army daggers were $1000 cheers, Ryan
