 Hello to all. I just picked up this Reiterfturm- Stander. It is a Swallow tail flag that is unit marked I/2. Size 31 1/2"x 17 3/4" Black and White piping. I would like to get some more info on it. All info. welcome. Pix to follow. Thanks again. Dutchman.

I've never seen one like that. Too bad our flag guy is long gone...
Guess you could always do the basic tests,,, UV the white,,,check a thread here and there if you can and burn to see IF synthetic.

The White is non fluorescing under the Black light. What should I look for on the Burn test?

A burn test the thread should burn to an ash. If it melts or goes hard,,= synthetic...
Thanks Vern,, - Dutch,,, with Verns info maybe start doing search's all over and you might pull up a period photo of it!

I did some research and found this.
German SS swallow tail banner with double sided swastikas and Regimental section.
Twisted rope border and rope hoist.
Measures just under 32" in length. Mine measures the same.
