I have come across some information that when the early full stag hauer's were introduced they were for leaders only.
Has this been covered before???

I haven't hear that, Jim, anywhere in 50 years of reading.

No doubt when the hewers were produced, the leader got the first ones ... they being the leaders. Then it trickled down to the privates or whatever they were called. The same thing I know that happened with the SA daggers and probably the SS and all the rest.

But reserved for the leaders ? Interesting.

I don't think that only the fullstag was intended for the Fuhrers. In the beginning, all M34 hewers were intended for the Fuhrers. It’s just that the first batch was released in accordance with Casberg’s sketch. But then this design was changed. In these publications, photographs of the first hewers produced by Eickhorn, where Casberg worked, were used.

Maybe??? Lets put it this way than. The full stag RAD's were the earliest production and as the document says (Leader..) So??? at least all full stag were worn by leaders..
When they did make the leader only model this was done to show a distinction between leader and lower ranks. In source document.. As yes both wore same style before this..

I would think these are like any collectable, if you do not collect them, you probably have little interest in them.
I do not have a rad dagger, would like to have a Carl J Krebs one in nice condition, prices way to high now.
