Dear colleagues, please share your opinion about the Dagger SA Röhm from SMF. On the forum at the end of 2023 you discussed such a Dagger. I know that there are a lot of fakes from the SMF manufacturer. I will be grateful for your knowledge of the topic and your experience. Regards Anatoly. P.S. Maybe I am breaking the rules of the forum, but I need your advice. When buying another Dagger from a dealer, I received a bonus. Leather document folder, size 38X28 centimetres. What can you tell me about her? This is not my case, I only collect Daggers.

Based on what I can see in the last photo, the maker mark indicates that it is a fake. Here is a discussion that will sort it out for you: https://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/forums/forum/wehrmacht-uniforms-and-equipment/daggers-and-edged-weapons-forum/14526005-another-fake-full-r%C3%B6hm-smf-dagger-currently-offered

AnatollyD... if you read my link, you would have seen that the dagger on the Wittmann site is the exact same dagger that is the subject of discussion in that thread.

I have a lot of respect for Thomas and appreciate his contributions to our hobby, but that doesn't change my opinion of the dagger. No people are infallible, maybe I'm wrong, but I wouldn't buy this dagger for myself

Dear Skyline Drive, I immediately read your link about Dagger SA SMF , for me everything is clear with dagger SA SMF. We can close the thread. I contacted you and dan70 because I saw you in the discussion of the link, I made the conclusion that even the big dealers are not trustworthy, thank you very much for your knowledge and time spent on my question.I found a discussion on our forum about this dagger, it was posted by lakesidetrader on 11/09/2023. https://forum.germandaggers.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=344929&page=2

The dagger you posted is indeed another fake full Röhm SMF dagger.

Several of these fakes have been sold by big dealers during the past years.

And yes, some are continuing that practice...

Smart of you to post the dagger on this forum before buying, you should always do this if you are not 100% sure about the authenticity of a dagger you are interested in.

Best regards,

Herman

Thank you very much Herman V for your reply, always appreciate your opinion. I had an interest in this dagger. And when I saw that Wittmann had posted a dagger made by SMF, I decided to buy one from another dealer. I have the dagger in my hands, but I haven't paid the money yet. I'll return it to the dealer. Herman, can you please give me your email address? I want to ask you a private question. My email address is [email protected]. Thank you.
