Hi, my name is Cameron, i am a new member to this forum, i am a recently new collector of Third Reich Militaria so am looking to get some advice from the more experienced members
i recently bought two of the medals from the same seller in a local military fair, one in a box that was unissued and in a almost mint condition when i examined through a jewellers glass i noticed a small number 21 stamped on the ring with the riband through it so ive been trying to find out if this is a known mark, because ive not found it in any refence book i own
the second one has a number 10 stamped on its ring, so im wondering if they are ok, or have i been had

Lots of good information and helping friends here. Your question is pretty specialized so you may have to wait a bit for an answer.

I suspect that the numbers identify various suppliers who provided that rings.

The number on the ring is the Lieferant number and identifies the maker of the medal. "21" is for Godet and "10" is for Forster & Barth. A complete list of numbers is in the GDC Reference Library located here - https://www.germandaggers.com/Gallery/LDO.php

For the NSDAP medals you need the M11 RZM Codes.
10 would be - Deschler & Sohn, M�nchen
21 would be - Josef Rillebrand, Gablonz

The RZM codes can be somewhat confusing. If you wish post images of your awards. Welcome to the forum.

Under the reply or post window, you will see "Attachment Manager". Click it to open a window that lets you add photo files to your post. Click "Select a File to Attach" to browse your computer for photos. When you find one, double click it to get the name in the box, and click "Open". you can also use your mouse to "drag" the file name to the window. Repeat as needed, then click "Done Adding Files". When you click the "Submit" button, the files will be loaded to the forum. Users can load up to 5 photos at a time, Premium Members and moderators can add up to 10 photos at a time. This is not available in the "Quick Reply" window at the bottom of a thread.

Just have a quick question. My reading of the regs is that the RZM codes must have the RZM symbol and category code along with the manufacturer number, just like the LDO codes must be proceded by "L". Can you point me to the source that identifies these numbers as RZM codes?

Can not cite a period source. I claim no depth of knowledge in political awards, Just reporting what more knowledgeable collectors than myself have been putting forth.
Where did the M11 Codes and Assignee list that you have posted in the above link source from?

From all I have read M11 codes are for NSDAP full size L.S. awards/medals and M12 codes are for NSDAP miniature L.S. awards/medals.

Since the rings are so small my best guess is that they left off the RZM M11/ and just stamped the assignee number.

Would be nice to find a boxed, marked example with the maker name on the box

After a bit of searching, I found a boxed, marked 15 Year example on eMedals. The suspension ring is marked "2" and the box is marked "M1/170". Putting "M11/" in front of the "2" means both numbers are assigned to B. H. Mayers. Learn something new every day

Also have seen an example with box marked M1/34 and the award marked 15 for Karl Wurster Markneukirchen .

The box marked M1/120 is to Wilhelm Deumer. To be a matching set the ring should be marked 19. Some time some where the box and cross got mismatched.

Right, thanks for letting me know, that's disappointing as I paid a lot of money for this medal, from a trader from a militaria fair I go too. I'm very annoyed right now.
