Hello I have what appears as a Kriegsmarine NCO visor it has a small sweatdiamond with brittle celluloid beneath marked Hubner and Bollwitt, Hamburg 11, Vorsetzen 52 the inside of the sweatband is lightly stamped Reserve Lazarett XA Schleswig 1942. Apparently that was a military hospital for POWs I dont understand the relationship of the Kriegsmarine to the hospital. Of course Hamburg was a large and important port during WW2 and Schleswig holstein is close to Hamburg. Assuming the cap is a Kriegsmarine cap I wonder if he was a naval personel assigned to the hospital in some capacity. The stamp appears period and authentic and woud not be a stamp that one would add to embellish plus the relationship to the Hamburg maker Any thoughts ???? cheers and best Ryan
