Hi guys,

I haven’t seen one of these advertised for a while. I can't even find one here on the HR Forum which surprised me. So here is my ‘Anti-Partisan’ ring. Ostensibly owned by a member of a Bandenbekämpfung (bandit fighting) SS unit. The Nazis of course used the term ‘anti-partisan’ as a euphemism for the brutal ethnic cleansing operations against Jewish people, Communists and other victims of their idealogical nonsense. These units were particularly active on the Eastern Front.

This ring is of course a fake. Soft details, cast; that RZM mark inside the band is a dead giveaway. It might even be a complete fantasy. I never saw an authentic one. I don’t know if the pattern ever existed in wartime. Anti-partisan badges, sure, lots of them around (also heavily faked) but I never saw a ring.

I'd be interested to learn if someone has a real one or knows for sure that the pattern even existed.

I bought this many years ago from a guy on FleaBay. I was younger and more naive laugh It wasn’t expensive. When I told him it’s a fake, he apologized, gave me a refund and told me I could keep the ring too. You live and learn. You can still pick these up for $20-50, sometimes a lot more.

Very interesting. I've seen the badges, but never a ring.

Thanks

Had a couple min and came on to see how everyone doing..

SO...

Evgeniy using our favorite description,4th reich!! This shows especially for a beginner everything you will see on a copy/fantasy etc.

-A very late award that barely got distributed to those who earned them wouldn't have a ring made in their likeness. Germany bombed out. No silver to use, labor in the Volkstrum etc. Just wouldn't happen.
-Very poor detail.
-An RZM in the band - big no-no!
-Very rough finish inside the band.. - Beginners/ new to subject area. Check the 'pinned' topics at the top. The WestWall,, Patriotic rings,, Skulls... 99% have a well finished inner band. Nice and smooth. Thin,, tapering. ALL musts on authentic rings. - Of course, there are exceptions but go ahead and check the pinned topics at top..

* Stephen , Thanks for posting this.. We who are collecting these for a while and we automatically get used to what to see......Sometimes,,it good for a new collector to the subject area to see something really out of wack!

Thanks Evgeniy, that's a good idea. Ideally, it would make sense to group all of the fantasy ('4th Reich') rings in the same thread, and pinned at the top. One problem I see is that there are already so many fantasy rings here on the forum that grouping them in a separate topic would be difficult.

Well we would just need some clarification to get it straighten it out...

There is 4th reich.... And,,, there is Fantasy rings. 4th reich can many times just mean a good copy!, Maybe a slight difference than a known pattern with a different band etc but that would still mean a fantasy!!

- SO 4th reich can continue to mean reproduction rings etc.

* , Fantasy,,rings that were not and or never made nor even thought up during the 3rd reich..

- * So we can stick to that and should be fine...

A Fantasy topic might be very interesting smile Anyone reporting a fantasy ring if you have any pertinent info please go ahead and post.. when you first started seeing the patterns,, cost back when you first saw it. Material made of,, etc etc .

This is my new “antipartisan ring” by Hapur

I’m a fan of the badge and I appreciated the idea to wear a ring that pay homage to it

I think that the realisation is very good with crispy details

It's certainly prettier than the cheap, nasty horror that I posted. Just remember, this pattern of ring never existed during the Third Reich smile
