Deutschland Fahrt Badge 1938

I could use your input on this Deutschland Fahrt Badge 1938. Dimensions are 1 and 9/16 inches or 4 cm in diameter. Badge comes with a dedication from “Fichtel & Sachs A.G. In Schweinfurt and with a Bremmer Mark, Neukirchen Maker Mark. Does anybody have seen this badge before and know what it was for? Thank you for your input. JME

Motor sports, motorcycle or auto tour/race. I considered bicycle because of the spokes but doubtfull. More apt to represent motorcycle spokes.

DerJager thank you very much for your feedback! I am also doubtful that it is for a bicycle race but more so for some kind of car or motorcycle race. Most likely NSKK related I would presume. The spokes could be just a symbol (background) of some kind or possible sunrays? I wished somebody else had some more information on it! Will have to wait and see if any additional information will surface. Thank you again! JME

This may not identify the badge, but Fichtel & Sachs has been a major German supplier of automotive parts, especially clutches and brake components. I believe they currently have factories in Germany, Mexico, and Brazil.

Theres your tie in JME. Good research Dan. I also searched the name and came up with a 1930's motorcycle connection reference along with other motor power parts connections. Type in Fichtel & Sachs and read away.

Not sunrays, it’s definitely a wheel as stated. I would guess a racing event of some type. Racing cars of that era had spoke rims. 1938 race car Grand Prix, Motorcycle Grand Prix or hill climbs maybe. Quick guess on the flags? Belgium, Denmark, Germany, UK, France, Italy, Yugoslavia and Switzerland. Country's that participated in the event or where the events took place. My best guess anyway and hope this helps a little.

Thought this deserving of another go around. Perhaps someone has an identical piece? Or a period announcement?
