Hello OWN, your KREBS seems to be an original pre 45 one (although the pics do not show enough details) and the WEYERSBERG obviously (also no details) might have a fake etched blade. As you see, although I discussed and understand your aim, the interest in the forum´s members in collecting OBVIOUSLY faked or partially faked items is VERY limited. Up to now you did show us a real mass of as said fked or partilly faked items and I start to wonder what these did cost. They might have been cheaper than period items but -I assume- they did not come for nothing. Am I right? So the serious question is, if you still buy those anomalies, if you should not spend for less items but for original, period manufactured ones which represent historical AND money´s worth. So how did you come to these items and are you still buying them? I don´t want to criticyze your collecting(!) but I want to try to show options for a perhaps more fulfilling kind of collecting.
Are there any reasons you do not collect true and unalteed/faked items? I do know several colectors in your homeland who do have considerable collections of period manufactured, original items.
Regards,

Hello wotan
Thank's a lot for your time writing an answer.
As I already wrote I was born in the 40's and my future in collecting is relatively short,
I began to collect, not only, edged weapons, when I was young.
At this time no others kind of knowledge than literature was available; now or so, you can access at more knowledge with internet, I found this web site recently.
as I was active on others kind of interest.
i throw this items our of drawers to show some, but I do not know what is fake or not.
It is not innocent, from me to take a NPEA helmet as an avatar...i saw a lot of people that show items and the expert say that are fakes, so I am not alone.
I will post one or two others items, and we 'll see.
You said that you know several collectors from my homeland, fine, I know nobody on this kind of interest.
Best regards
