100% post war degen without a single doubt. Including the knot.

JR is of course 100% correct the sword "mimics" an SS degen in all aspects but the devil is in the details and in this case all of the details are incorrect, especially true of the sword knot and the stamp. cheers and best, Ryan

I don't get it guys... Help me out here.. This is a complete sword.. I don't know swords but this doesn't look so bad.. Remember you guys are literally experts! , so you know right away..

So is this made ,, for a wall hanger? , for reenactment? to 'beat' someone? I mean what does this cost as what it is supposed to be,, a reproduction?

So I guess you have a sword that has a beat up part and can't find an original piece would one from this do? Whats the thing really meant to be??

The sword is meant to deceive good fake SS swords have been around longer than good fake SS daggers, IMO the first fakes used real police officer degens with reworked grips these were relatively easy to spot due to the substantial gaps in the grip around the sigrunen disc and the other "nuances" fake SS officer and NCO degens are plentiful Fake Police degens are out there that would fool many a collector. I am sure JR can offer more clarificatiin. cheers and best, Ryan
