Hello OWN, from these pics it looks like an original hilt. Scabbard might be a repaint? Is the blade plain or etched??? Are there better pics of the blade, mm, crossguard (with eagle) and the region -frnt and side- I did mark (please without portepee)? And a pic from the riveted pommel/lionshead. Regards,

Some grains to grind,
the scabbard repaint ? certainly, the blade is plain and a little pitted.

Thank you for the additional pics. Beside the pitting in the blade and the new painted cabbard the sabre looks absolutely correct and period manufactured. Nicewith hanger and portepee. Regards,
