Good afternoon, I'm new to the forum and just starting to get interested in SA and SS daggers. I have an early release SA dagger and would like to hear your opinion about it. I have a number of questions about it. On the crosspiece there are the letters Om, according to the writer this manufacturer put Nm, could the manufacturer put the letters Om? The scabbard was originally anodized, but is now painted. When do you think they were repainted? Do they match the dagger? What is your opinion about the leather pendant? Could it be on this dagger? From the pictures, you have a hard to find SA dagger by Rich Hartkopf originally issued in Austria or Ostmark. The blade has been rusted and well cleaned. Repainted scabbards are often found but I'd like to see better photos before saying more.

The hanger looks genuine and is what was used with early SA daggers.

What you have is:

- An early SA dagger by Rich Hartkopf with once rusted blade issued in Austria.

- A later RZM era scabbard from a different later dagger.

- A genuine SA hanger and belt loop
