Here is a photo of two Australian soldiers with Owen submachine guns. The only all Australian designed and manufactured SMG.
Reliable and durable, it was used well into the Vietnam conflict.

Nope, Gaz, I have never even seen one. The only Submachine gun I ever fired was the military WWWII Thompson. Far heavier than you'd think, VERY noisy, and hard to control. But ... you hit something, it stayed hit
