The blade of this early HJ-knife is very bright with some grey areas and nice cross grain. It shows a bid of sharpening near the tip. The nice motto was lightly applied. The reverse side shows the “2 dears” maker mark, “K & Co Solingen” and the “Ges Gesch.” stamp. This is a rarer maker for HJ’s and looked after because of the interesting logo.

The very early, completely intact grip plates show the typical dense checkering. The beautiful wiggling diamond of the smaller early version shows hardly any wear. Pommel and guards have kept almost all of their quality plating.

The scabbard shows almost complete paint coverage; which has been retouched at some point in time. The early, completely supple brown hanger is in fine condition and has a working snap.

Price: 660 EUR or 750 US$. Paypal with “friends” no fees option or bank transfer. Safe (registered) shipping to Europe 21 EURO to US & Canada 30 US$.

Not very easy to find an early HJ-knife like that: 100 % complete and intact!
