Did it have a silver wash or is that corrosion?

Joe,, don't know much about it.. I don't own it,,,kind of wish I did..
Appears zinc,,probably had a wash to it at one time.. An armored fist ,,over East Europe/Russia?.
The other side weird,,,looks like a farm house and a well to the left.. Don't know what that is to the right of the farmhouse....

No spot for a dedication or inscription like seen on unissued nonportable awards. No clue what is to the huts right facing side. have not seen another that I recall.

Says War-Christmas 1944.

To the right of the hut looks like another well with the bucket down

The map might be the key

I just found this from Fronta.cz:

"Kriegs Weihnachten 1944

Question: Václav Mottl - 17.7.2010
Hello, I got hold of this badge, but I can't find any information about it anywhere. Could you help me? Thank you. Sincerely, Mottl

Hello, the badge you quoted was distributed by the Winterhilfswerk (WHW) organization as part of the winter aid collections".

Note: this example was broken and lacking the ribbon.

A WHW piece! yeah they had a few bigger items... Something about this I like... Even though I got rid of mostly everything [except my rings & tags] I have a small riker with a few awards I like..Wouldn't mind one of these..

Thanks W.20609
