Hello everyone. I am a new member in this forum. I need a advise and opinions on SA daggers, I always fasinated by their desing and look and i always wanted to have one but unfortunately i have very little knowledge and limited sources. There is some examples i am thinking to get which prices goes from 1000 usd to 1500 usd( tprices are like that where i live unfortunately) but i have no idea which maker is better option for that price scale. Or a person who only planing to get only one it doesnt metter much as a condition of dagger?
I believe none of those are rare manufactorer but maybe the quality of some are better than the others? : Arthur Schuttelhofer & Co. (thats most expensive) Dick,Paul F. RZM M7/42 WKC Solingen, RZM M7/85 - Arthur Evertz, Solingen. RZM M7/10/1941 J.A Henkels, Zwillingswerk, Solingen
also some are in better shape and some has hanger.
I should ask like " what i must look more importantly before buying a dagger"
thank you in advance!

Hello, Jan !
Welcome to GDC. If you look back to old posts in this forum you will find much information.
To answer your question, look for:
- Less wear, and even balanced wear
- NO signs of repairs
- No signs of high polishing
- Good fit between dagger and scabbard
- Earlier daggers with the maker's mark, like F. Dick. They are better quality than RZM daggers.
Also, please post all photos, not just the links.

RZM M7/10/1941 J.A Henkels, Zwillingswerk, Solingen. Although even I liked this one in first look (also 350 dollar price difference with the first one) I noticed there is something like stain on blade. I believe that’s all. There is also some other cheaper variants but not so good by condition

If I was buying,
1. Schutelhoffer
2. F. Dick. (The metal buckle and clip for the hanger are OK, but leather is too long)
