Here are a couple of items I have from the Deutscher Landhandels-Bund e.V. a trade association specialising in grain & seeds etc. Formed in 1933 & under the control of Walther Darré.

Here are two membership badges, one pin back & the other a stickpin. The reverses are totally plain & identical to each other apart from the pin fixing so I will not bother to show them.

The phrase around the bottom, "Gemeinnutz vor Eigennutz" roughly translates as "public interest before self-interest"....

I was recently lucky to find a membership card coming up for auction & was able to obtain it, the only example I've ever seen.... The colour has washed out a little under the bright light of the scanner, & is more of a sky blue colour in hand.

Thank you Gentlemen. I'm not sure that the organisation was around for long, maybe it was absorbed into the Reichsnährstand?

I was thinking it was probably absorbed but not sure, I looked but got some conflicting dates and info. Reichslandbund organization popped up. (Same org. , different )?

Thank you Gaspare. Wish I had time for writing a book (had planned one on the Standschützenverband Tirol-Vorarlberg) but since I retired I just don't have the time..... (I don't understand how I found the time to go to work!!! grin )

Yes I have the old foxhole publications on the shelf, can't say that I've looked at them for years.... Maybe I should open them up again.

I had just found mine a few days ago.. ,,,if anyone would have enjoyed it the most ,,it would have been you!! I was going to send them to you.....

What I'll do now is probably bring them to the MAX and put them by Andys Tinnies rikers and if a young collector shows interest in the tinnies / buys a couple, I'll give him the books..... I wouldn't doubt though that you probably have even more than whats listed/shown in the books even though they are excellent!

It's very kind of you to think of me, thank you. Interestingly I actually have very few tinnies, I decided many years ago not to bother with them as there were so many designs. I only pick them up if they have a noteable link in someway to the organisational badges that I have as with the one that I posted the other day in the Sängerbund thread.

Thanks again.

I appreciate the small details of the badges like the way they made the S's and the closeness of the L and A.

Don, that are beautiful badges.
Together with the Mitgliedskarte and contibution leges stamps , that gives extra good info about the Deutscher Handels-Bund.

Thanks

Thank you Benten. Yes Joe, those small details do make the badges/pins a tad more appealing....
