Am I right in assuming this a WWII Japanese bayonet Type 30 Mid-War for the 7.7 mm. Type 99 Short Rifles? Thank you in advance for all your help.

Yes i would to this opinion. the handle is not extra well made, untypical shape of fuller. Questionable are the grips as it looks like crossguard is not in rectangular poisition to blade. Same as there is only one screw there.
