I'm pretty sure it means ; Toolbox for weapon equipment? "KL" I think? Also it had a carrying handle made of rope I would think which is missing. On the inside you can see the numbers which do not match the numbers on the front. And the old boxed in lines. I love the locking mechanism. The tool box measures 18 1/2" L x 10 3/4" W x 3 1/2" H.

As the size indicates, the Kl. means Small (Kleine).
