Here a ring I always wanted to have.  On the front the word “AFRIKA”. The “F” has an extra line dowwards. I thought it was a mistake of the engraver , but I found this typical “F” too on many (not all) of the DAK-cuff titles . Perhaps it was used as an example on the ring . The front was gold washed, but most of it isn’t there any more. What does the man on the camel have in his hands/ behind the man, a rifle?

That's a beauty, Benten. Good catch. I‘m not sure that guy has anything other than the camel's reins in his hands. That long object looks to me like something in the background, a sand dune perhaps? Or maybe a distant mountain with the moon over it.

Benten best thing you can do is get your best/favorite loop and look real hard and make sure those are tool marks,,,or even a microscope!.. Even with a lot of wear you should be able to see in some of the recesses that it was a tool that made the marks and not from a toothpick on a wax mold!!!!
SO,, tool marks = good!
All soft and smooth on all the lines = no good...

those look like tool marks to me!.. Wish I knew what that is the guy is carrying on his shoulder [?] but just can't figure it out!

Just looks like something they put in the background to go with the moon.
When the two lines pass through the riders body, they do not line up, the top one is way off.
