Members,,, I'm asking the question of:

- Do you keep some kind of inventory / list with sell prices at your home? This would be a benefit for those here after your gone.. What price to expect when selling etc. Do you have a small tag on each item? A photo with matching number correlating to each item?

I put a link above to the Community forum as some members only look in their specific subject area. But please , you can post right here.. Thanks , G.

I have a notebook with all my items listed. They have the date I purchased, from, condition and price paid. Also, a list of folks that has expressed interest in the items.

Great idea Gaspare. I wish I was so organised. I have photos of every ring in my collection and, where I can remember, how much I paid for it.

- Ron,, is there a corresponding photo or something that matches the list??

- SpitVb,, photos,,interesting, You put the info on the back?? IF written small enough I guess you could take a group photo and write on back at least a sell price...

I do have pics on a stick drive that shows the item that corresponds with the list. I only have a small collect though. What I have may be too much if you have an extensive collection.

Almost everything that I buy, I take pictures of, post it to Dropbox and add a text file containing who I got it from, when, how much I paid and a brief description or a link.

-- Thanks Ron......

John,, The most through so far,,but really good!.. I guess a person could also print out if they are worried family/friends can't get on your computer after your gone..

So I've been asking this after helping at the MAX show. MilitaryNuts family 'inherited' his very large military collection. He also collected many other things!. Directly after his passing they let the family have a pick of anything they wanted. Then some of his friends..Now,, the daughter works the internet,, travels a large distance twice a year [SOS, MAX] in order to thin this down.. Eventually it will not be worth it to rent the tables, pay fuel, meals etc etc and will have still plenty of items.. Maybe they'll donate? give away? Don't know....

- Members,,I hope we all live long fruitful Godly lives.. But remember,, I don't know anyone that was able to bring their collection with them! You need to do this for your self and your family...

- Any other methods ,,please go ahead and post here,,thanks, G.

Now get out there and find some interesting pieces!!!!!

I also keep a binder with a chronological record of what I bought, along with a COA if available or a printout of the item description from the website or emails sent me.

My kids know where my records are and where my passwords are stored.

They are digital photos Gaspare. You can store the relevant info in each pic file, when bought, from whom, price, any info, etc.

I'm going to keep it at the top for a while.

Had an email about it asking how do we keep track of pricing, inventory etc..
