Hey all,

I'm completely new to the hobby but I've read a lot about how to spot fakes.
I'm looking to buy my first dagger and reached out to several reputable dealers and as you all know the prices are high.

I thought before I pull the trigger I'll take a look at unreputable dealers and see if I can get lucky.

These photos are from a dealer in Russia who says he doesn't sell fakes 🤥

Just checking if anyone can see from these blurry photos if it's a fake right off the bat?

Any information is appreciated!

The blade motto is from an SA Dagger and the wrong letter font, the RZM marks are a total fantasy, the grip eagle is a reproduction, the Rune button doesn't look correct, the grip shape is not correct, the crossguards are wrong, the tang nut is incorrect, the fittings are incorrectly shaped, the fitting screws are missing. This is not even close to being original.

Even from the blurry pics, it's easy to tell this is an awful fake. I would suggest you stick with reputable sellers until you gain enough experience to go it on your own. And don't buy anything from the guy trying to sell you this piece of junk.

Welcome to the forum Rvole , First,,,don't trust any dealer or private seller..

Some areas are worse than others,,,East Europe you must be VERY careful when you buy.... And,,if you bought now from Russia,,how would you get it?... Don't believe anyone!..

What you should do - Invest in at least a couple books. They will tell you which ones here.... - And here,,,You have 56 back pages of topics,,, get reading!
