Does anyone knows who sold his HJ-knife collection at the current MAX-show?
I have heard that over 200 HJ-knifes were offered by one older person...
Best regards,
Herman

Way over 200 in the collection, probably closer to 350 in my opinion, don't know who it was but I can tell you there was a feeding frenzy when they came out, if you were not there in the first 5 minutes you wouldn't have got a sniff, it was crazy to see so many.

Thanks Gary, for your information on this.
I saw pictures of 25 pieces of these, the quality was rather low though...
So they must have been sold quite cheap in guess...

I have been informed that this was the HJ-collection of a Don Herman, who passed away some time ago.
I did not have the chance nor pleasure to know this collector.

Tom Whittmann states that there were 400 placed in pre priced piles $300 $400 and $500 one collector purchased 200 of them a lot of money $$$$$ I wonder if that many HJ knives will even make a dent in the hobby..... probably not would have been something to have seen.....even Tom didn't see them cheers, R

The show was Thursday, Friday and Sat. -
Not sure if the SOS is like this now since its been years since I went to one.... Set up day... You set up... But at this show they let 'members' in at 12 noon!
So as we're setting up 8 to 12,, [or trying to] there was groups of guys going around buying.... OK, sure,,this does happen at shows and collectors even say 'all the deals were done during set up day'. It got to the point some guy was unpacking one of our bins!! a YO DUDE STOP! ended that shit.....
So we ended up selling a lot before noon. Maybe that is what happened with the HJ knives [?]

Most of my buying was done before 12 noon on the Thursday, as far as I am aware all of the HJ knives were sold before noon.

That is the same that happens at the SOS, dealers buy all the best first, it's a club after all. But almost everyone there has a phone with them, just odd there has been no pic shown. But, hard to hold your phone when you are picking up 40 or 50 HJ's.
