for many years of studying rings I've come to some conclusions.. One is.. Advertisements.. In many they'll show a few different designs. Whether from the back of a magazine,,or from a jeweler,, or 'Canteen; Supply,, it seems you could pick out a ring or a pin [that maybe wasn't in stock] and in a couple weeks time the ring would be delivered to where you ordered it for pick up.. - - BUT,,sometimes you would get a notice saying,,'sorry for inconvenience but this style no longer in production please pick out another from our stock'!.. - Well years ago I found out there were some designs/patterns that were only line drawings / never made... . A base cut for a die but not finished for the particular ring... IF, if enough orders came in the die was finished, a working die made and a 100 or so made.... In the 80s when I still had a connection to a large German jewelry firm,,and a German Retailer this was confirmed to me. Some rings seen were never made,,,and some rings listed as made from a certain material were not in the material listed... I have narrowed it down to 3 I'm 99% of..! BUT maybe I'm wrong... This is one of the stronger contenders. * Here is the advertisement and design for the ring... IF any member has this exact pattern in any condition I'll give a reward of a few period PC sized photos of German soldiers/officers etc. that I will send to you!! - SO, prove me wrong and post the ring!!, nice clear photo now!

Nice ad Gaspare. Text around : With us the Victory. It’s a slogan for unity: for soldiers or every body (?) Metal with silverwash/plated and oxidized. The 2 swords with symbolic Oak and Lime leaf.

- - Benten,,much thanks!! Dave, your probably right. I first saw the advert in 2002. I go to a lot of shows, travel a lot, ask around,,and nothing, never seen , heard of the design... The advert has not been shown in regular periodicals. It was only shown in a few of the jewelry/smiths trade guild booklets.. They could have gotten feedback not liking the design, not to waste your precious materials,,,make more skulls!.

OK, so I'll keep this going..
I have posted this a few years ago.. First shot are 2 bracelets I have.. Also they had made rings of each panel of the bracelets.. I have almost all of them. So the next photo the 2 panels on the right [red lines] Those 2 I don't have.. I have never seen a advertisement for them,,or a line drawing or in wear photo.. The plane ring, again ,never saw one.. But the helmeted soldier,,,I thought I saw one many years ago...
They made a ring from every panel but I've never seen those 2.. I haven't seen everything so they could be out there.. Same reward,,a couple nice, authentic, PC size 3rd reich photos..
So post away IF you got either or both,,nice clear in focus shots,,,look forward to seeing any of the 3 rings now...

ok,,,so it looks like so far no one has any of these 3 rings!
Well here's another.. Photo credit or dear departed Odal:
This is part of a larger advert.. In my project I have WW rings broken down into 2 parts. 'The Original WestWall Ring'. Which would mean the ring in this advert,,wire wound.. The other part in my project is 'The WestWall/WestFront Ring'. Which is all the other WW rings that are not wire wound..
So I'm looking for a true period made example of this pattern in Silver,,and would be nice if content marked... I do know there were some made in silver postwar,,so it will be a bit difficult but we'll all try to authenticate.... Much thanks..,G.

- Well,, I'm quite sure the first ring was never produced.. Also the the wound WW spiral in solid silver..
BUT,,the Plane,,, and the Eagle & Helmeted Soldier.... - Not giving up on those ,,yet... 20 years ago in Europe I thought I saw the Eagle & Soldier in poor condition at a bazaar. So maybe that one exists.. I'll bring this to the top once in a while to see maybe a new member has, or one turns up.. Keep a look out guys ,,, Thanks.,,G.

The topic we have going with the runic rings made me think of this ring....
The ring that started this topic [first one] , .. I even have another advert of same exact ring months later. . It is also early 3rd reich era,,,but until I see one they were never made!
Weird things do happen!
