Greeting all.
Just joined the forum and happy to be here.
A co worker of mine has a possible SA dagger and would like to sell it to me,but we are both not sure whats it worth or if its original.
After some online research i think this could be a SA Marine, but could use some help from the Pros.
Not the best condition, but i think Original
Thx in advance.

Welcome to GDC Commando.

You will need more and better pictures for more info, but what I see:

Grip: Poor condition and the eagle has probably been replaced and is very worn

Scabbard: late production RZM era painted NSKK scabbard with lower fitting plating lifting off.

Blade: Bad photo

Tang: Made by or for Gebr. Heller Schmalkalden

Guards: Probably RZM era injection molded zinc - nickel plated

Note: Nothing I see indicates Marine SA/NSKK. It looks like maybe RZM NSKK

Thx for the input Dave. I'll try and get some better pics when I get off work.
I read in the net if there is an Anchor on the tang then it is probably a SA Marine, my bad.

Here are a few pics of the blade Dave.
By your evauation what do you think would be a good price to offer without robbing him?
Even though the condition could be alot better, its original and would be my first dagger.
Thx for the help

There are no markings or numbers on blade other than whats on the tang.

My advice: Do not buy it

What I think it might be:

1. A late 1930's RZM scabbard

2. An earlier dagger that is a combination of parts:

a. A blade, made by Gebr. Heller, possibly with Ernst Rohm signature, now completely erased
b. Zinc guards from a later RZM dagger
c. A grip, cracked at the top, with a replaced, very worn eagle.

Even in this condition i would still think about buying it just to stick it in my display case. At least it is sum what original lolol.
What would you think a fair price would be, 100 bucks + - ?

Sound OK. Whatever you two can agree on.

Maybe you could show us some of your other items ?
