German flags come in all types and sizes!

Anyone have some to show!

I have had some big ones!

I will start and add more!

Seems back in the day they were used for table covers at show! Or putting stuff on them for diplay and pics!

Now the Teno,Rad and some are beautiful!

Those party flags could get huge!

Here are a few of the larger flags I have. I"m sure I have posted some of these on the forum already but here they are again. If I remember correctly the first DAF flag I show is about 12 ft long. The DDAC one is triangular in shape and 17ft long and at the top I believe it is about 7ft wide. The NSKK flag again is around 12 ft long if my memory serves me correct. Love to see these large flags and love that RAD standarte is a beauty. Speaking of which, what does the price on a RAD standarte go for nowadays and might anyone have one they might sell? Thanks for looking

Here's a few more large flags in my collection. The DAF is the largest one I have, it's size is 21ft by 12 ft and it has been shortened. I believe it is the second style as opposed to the first one I showed with the white circle around the gear symbol. The State service is at least 9 ft long I believe and the Female Rad flag is if I remember correctly 14 ft long. Thanks for taking a look.

Man that contrast sure is striking, as intended - Something not really appreciated viewing period footage, even if in color.

I would like to add all flags were most likley brought back by the vets that
defeated nazi germany!

No way we are doing anything but honoring the vets!

Here’s a large DAF flag which I picked up a few months ago. It is the non award version of the Model Factory flag. The size is roughly 10 ft by 11 ft. This would be flown on the outside of a building that was awarded the Model Factory Flag

German National Flag, 1933-1935. Large, 5'6" x 12'.

Picked up many years ago from a vet who said he got it in Nuremberg.

Hello,Does any one know if there are post war K.M. flags (Repo.) of the larger size? 150x250 .
I know the smaller ones like E boat and subs are made post war. Also the material.
Did they have a standard for the material used? I have a few larger size K.M. and they all are of a heavy material.
The latest one I picked up is made of a lot liter material? Thanks.Dutchman.

Happy New Year to everyone
I figured I’d add a new banner I picked up to the thread. It’s fairly large roughly 10 ft long by a little over 4 ft wide. As can be seen it has the Nazi Women’s league insignia with the letters G H & L standing for Faith Hope and Love in the middle and a swastika on each end. While I’m at it I’d like to show a picture of a flag I picked up a few years ago that I’d like to get opinions on regarding authenticity. When I posted it on a few forums I didn’t get much feedback, a few saying original and a couple saying not sure. It is very well constructed & comprised of different pieces and looks very much like the few pics I’ve seen with Frauenwerk symbol. Thanks for taking a look and appreciate any comments and info particularly on the Frauenwerk one.

Man some get so paranoid about things being fake [not saying you]. ,,,They see fakes everywhere/thing they look at....

The one with the swastikas appears fine. Seriously doubt someone added that emblem,, and it fits perfectly..

The Frauenwerk flag too, looks fine,, a podium banner? a wall hanger for their meetings?.. I'm not a flag guy but like them both..... . ,G..

Hello Gaspare,
Thanks much for your comments. I also have no concern over the Frauenschaft one with swastikas either. I also think the Frauenwerk one is good but always like to get opinions. One doesn't see many of the frauenwerk flags to begin with. A lot of work would have gone into creating the Frauenwerk flag & I can't really see the reason it would be faked unless it was to be used in a movie or something, which I also doubt it was. Sometimes I think people just dismiss an item out of hand if they haven't seen others. I have seen period pictures of a frauenwerk flag being used as a wall hanger & I’ll have to go thru my pics and post it. As mentioned I didn't get too many opinions on it to begin with. Again, I thank you very much for your comments, they are always appreciated.

The Frauenwerk looks good in my opinion. How does the blacklight test on the white material.

Hello
Chuck, sorry for my late response. Here are pictures that I posted on another forum that I took using a blacklight. In the first two pictures I put a white t-shirt in for comparison. Thanks for your comments and any other comments or opinions you might have.

Gaspare, thanks again for your comment. That's also why I put another flag in a few of the pictures just as another comparison. Your comments and opinion are very much appreciated

Thats one BIG flag. Do you have a wall big enough to hang it on ? Does make a nice bed spread.

Hi Luftbud, it's a really big flag about 24 feet by 8/9 feet, it's longer than any of my walls in my house, i did think about using it as a bed spread, but it's too good an example to ruin it on my bed, so I'll find a nice place to keep it safe, cheers Cameron

I would imagine the flags on Battle ships and Carriers are quite large, not to mention the flags used in Germany for Hitler's gatherings on buildings.

I can imagine my flag being on the side of a government building or used at party rallies etc
It really is a well made flag, the materials are high quality so used for important functions. That's what I think, lol

So would a battle ship like the Bismark could have flown one of these big flags? Trying to get this through my thick brain.
